Q: What time is check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in
is at or around 3:00 pm on Friday and check-out is by 3:00 pm on Sunday. Additional nights are available at a discounted rate. Please contact us if interested.
Q: Do you allow guests other than scrapbookers?
A: Of
course! Legacy Retreat House was designed with scrapbookers and
quilters in mind. However, the beautiful and spacious facility and
tranquil setting make it a great place for artistic or crafting groups,
business meetings, seminars, spiritual retreats, or family reunions. We
welcome your non-crafting friends to Girls' Getaways Weekends as well.
After all, no one wants to be left out of a girlfriend's getaway
weekend!
Q: What are the sleeping accommodations?
A: There
are 4 bedrooms with 10 beds total. Since our retreats consist of 10
scrapbookers, you will be able to decide the best arrangements for your
group. We have all twin beds and each spacious room sleeps 2-3. There are 3 full bathrooms.
Q: Do I need to bring bedding/linens?
A: Each
bed is made up with fresh, clean sheets and comforter/quilt, a throw
and two pillows. Additionally each guest receives a set of soft bathroom
towels for their use during their visit.
Q: What are dining options for the weekend?
A: For a hosted weekend, we will provide your meals. Otherwise, your
group is welcome to bring meals for the weekend. The full service
kitchen will have everything you need to prepare your meals. The main
kitchen is equipped with a stove, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a
microwave, and cooking essentials. There are many options for dining out
or catering in. We will have take-out menus available at the house.
Q: How about smoking and pets?
A: Smoking
is not allowed inside house. You may smoke outside in the courtyard
area or on the back porch. We do not allow pets on the property for the
benefit of the house and your fellow guests. Anyone with pet allergies, please let us know, as we do have a doggie mascot who sometimes guards the sofa while we clean! =)
Q: What if we don’t have a group of ten?
A: Contact us anyway! We’ll
try to match you up with another group that is smaller than 10, or
we’ll let our contact list know that there are openings for your
weekend. Once you book a weekend, you are responsible for the full amount regardless of how many you have coming.
Q: Do you have internet access or phone?
A: No. At least initially we will not have either of these, so we encourage you to bring your cell phones!
Q: What if it snows? A: If roads are closed due to blizzard conditions, arrangements can be made. We want our guests to be safe and we want you to come back!
