Welcome to Legacy Retreat House. This historic house in Mount Penn, Pennsylvania was over the course of its lifetime: a tobacco shop, a speak- easy and the toll house for the trolley that ran to Carsonia Park- the place to go in Berks county from 1896-1950. In fact, one of the beams used in the ceiling during a recent renovation is from the old trolley tracks. Now, you'll find this house is a wonderful place for groups to get together for pleasure or business. We hope you will bring your friends and relax with us for a weekend. Whether you scrapbook, quilt, make jewelry, stamp, or study scripture, you can find a favorite spot in our house to do what you like to do best. Make your memories come to life -- come stay with us. ![]() Above: Coming through the gate into the backyard. At right: the kitchen. ![]() The banner photo & photo above are the backyard.
